  • The Accessibility Map was previously available only in the PDF format. However, having received comments from people with visual impairments and others informing us that they would like the map to be compatible with screen readers and also to be searchable, the Office for Disability Equity has begun to introduce PDF maps and text maps that are compatible with screen readers.
  • The new PDF maps have transparent text embedded in them and can be read out loud with a screen reader. You can navigate through the buildings in sequence using the keyboard, and selecting a building will take you to a page with barrier-free facilities and access information for that building. PDF versions for other campuses will be added as they become available.
  • If you cannot read the PDF file with a screen reader when it is opened in your browser, please download the file to your PC or other device first, then open the file and read with the screen reader.
  • The text map can be read out loud with a screen reader and can be operated and searched using a keyboard. Other campuses will be supported as they become available.
  • The “Directions from the Main Gate” in the Text maps are written for people with visual impairment.
  • Text maps allow data to be added or modified more quickly than PDF maps.
  • Please be aware that PDF maps may have data that are older data than text maps.
  • Please notify the Office for Disability Equity of any changes or corrections to building accessibility facility information.
